Day Two

Day two went great. Started off like most days playing with paints and coloring.  It got really windy in Sedona so we spent most of the day inside.  Some of the gusts were up to 50 and 60 mph.  But the red mountains are worth the wind.  They were breath taking.

Mason also spend most of the day playing with all his second cousins.  Climbing in Chris's back....

Doing the "high five up high, down low...to slow" game with Kevin...

And standing on the side of the couch and jumping on Bradley Game....

But most of all he just had fun playing with all his family members.  Here he is with Uncle Tim.

Today Uncle Tim and Chris went back to Phoenix so it is a bit quieter but we have plans to meet GG and go up into the mountains for some closer sight seeing.  So lots more to come tomorrow.

Day One

Or first day went very well.  Mason was able to entertain himself fairly well in the car.  I ended up buying him a little table that fits on the back of the front seat and this really came in handy.  He was able to color and play with playdough and have snacks, everything was at his reach which he liked.

We ended up stopping at the General Patton Memorial Museum in Chiriaco Summit.  We ate lunch and looked around.  Stretched our legs before making the rest of the journey.

We are now in Sedona Arizona staying with family and having a very nice time.  We will leave here Wednesday for out next stop in Albuquerque New Mexico.

The Move

The night has come.  We leave in the morning.  I am full of both excitement and fear of the unknown.  I hope I will be able to secure a job and not be a burden to my sister and her family.  Also I hope I am making the best choice for Mason.  I do know one thing; that although I leave here in the morning it will not be forever.  That I can always come back either to visit or to stay.

I am grateful for the people in my life that love me, even if it sometimes hard for me to express that love back.  I am also grateful that today I have a higher power that will be watching over Mason and me and all the loved ones I leave behind.

Today we went to "Sea Life" at LegoLand.  We met up with my Aunt and Uncle and their son.  Mason loved it.  It was very hands on and it had lots of things to see.  I really recommend it to anyone that might be in the area.  Here a just a few of our pics:

Also last weekend we made the best chocolate cupcakes with a cream cheese center.  Mason loved them and they were very yummy to eat.  I got the recipe from here so please check it out if you love to bake.

Connecticut

This post has been hard for me to post but here goes with another try......

I have decided to move to Connecticut for various reasons.  The main reason is I am trying to Be fully self supporting and I just can't afford to live on my own in So. California.  So after a LONG thought process and many prayers I decided that CT is a place where I can afford to live on my own and still be close to family (my sister and her family) and live in a state that is not in 40 billion dollar dept.

My plan is to leave by car on March 20 staying with various family and friends along the way.  I have a few people in my Treacher Collins Support Group that have offered to let my son and I stay at their house for a night.  I think if will be a great experience for both Mason and myself because we have yet to meet other people with TCS especially other children.

Once I get there I will be staying with my sister until June where I have a studio apartment set up of the summer.  This is the home of a teacher who will rent it to me for free for the summer and this should allow me time to find a job and save up for my own apartment.

Of course once I get there who knows what will happen.  I am just going to try to take each day one day at a time.
